Flag weights are used with flagpoles that have either an internal halyard system or are fitted with a rotating banner arm. The weight tensions the halyard system or banner (in the case of a banner arm). This helps to keep everything in place so that the flag or banner is displayed to maximum effect. Slightly lighter than traditional flagpole weight, it can be used on any size flagpole.
