A short while ago we were asked to be a part of a refurbishment of the Nespresso Coffee Shop in Regent Street, and of course we were more than happy to be able to contribute.
As you can imagine, the plans for the refurbishment were not only for the exterior but also the interior which involves many people and planning, for which we are only a small part of, but an important part nonetheless.
We were asked to design a flag for them to their agreed colour scheme and layout making sure that each aspect of the flag was measured and correctly placed. We also received specifications for a pole that was to be manufactured specifically for this store.
The pole itself is very unique as is employs none of the normal mechanics involved with a flag pole. It has no halyard rope or external cleat for the rope (the cleat being the part that the rope is wrapped onto to secure it in place) and it was also required to be black in colour.
Soon the rest of the alterations to the shop plans were drawn up and agreed, which involved CAD drawings in order to ensure that exact measurements which were requested were met. Once agreed, the pole was then specially made based on the unique design of having loops made into the pole which the flag could be clipped to once hung. It was then powder coated to make the aluminium pole black.
The pole itself was designed to be a single tube that fixed into the bracket (at the agreed 45° angle) and is then screwed into place.
Once both parts (the flag and the flagpole) were made, we fixed everything together in our warehouse to ensure that everything fitted, which of course it did!
The installation was carried out, as always, by our trained installation team working to all the required specifications, taking care not only of the product that we were installing but the installation itself plus all the Heath and Safety requirements that come with it.
I’m sure you agree that the finished result looks very impressive indeed. We are all looking forward to having a coffee there once the store reopens!
