The British Library

Case studies - Printed building wraps and advertising banners for building from Piggots Flags and Branding EssexEvery year Piggotts works very closely with the British Library to promote and raise awareness for latest shows, exhibitions and other events at the Library in the heart of London. Piggotts has manufactured and installed a range of banners and flags in front of the Library in a variety of different sizes, as well as laundered the flags and provided other general maintenance services.

Piggotts’ most recent project with the British Library has been to promote their Shakespeare in Ten Acts exhibition which has been open for the past few months. Our part in the project was to produce and install two large air mesh banners and to stretch them across the front forecourt of the building using stays and wires to hold it up. Our trained installation crew used a hydraulic platform to safely install the banners to conform to the latest health and safety requirements. The design for the flag was provided by the Library’s own designers and was printed direct onto the fabric using our in house printer. This was a simple and successful project for Piggotts and we will return to site to remove the banners at the end of the exhibition and store them safely in our stores ready for re use if required.
